Memorial Day Myakka River Blues Festival: SOLD OUT!

Memorial Day Myakka River Blues Festival: SOLD OUT!
Don’t miss the FINAL Myakka River Blues Festival at the original Snook Haven in historic Old Florida on Memorial Day - Monday, May 29th! Rain or shine, the event will be rockin' along the River from 11 AM to 5 PM.

This year's festival will be the last event hosted by the iconic and historic "good Ole' Florida" Snook Haven before next spring's construction begins on the Sarasota County park it's located in.

Set your alarm! Ticket sales go on Friday, April 28th at 6 PM.
Admission is $30 per ticket OR $50 for a ticket plus a commemorative Blues Festival t-shirt. BOOKMARK THIS LINK TO PURCHASE YOUR TICKET.

Ticket sales will be limited to a maximum of 400 to keep audience size minimal and allow for all parking to take place down at Snook Haven. Carpooling is suggested.

The lineup for this year’s festival will appeal to all audiences, with styles from American electric and soul blues, international blues and swing to everything in between:

12 to 1 PM - Joey Gilmore

1:30 to 3 PM - Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones

3:30 PM to 5 PM - Liz Mandeville

Kicking off the bash is Joey Gilmore, one of the last of the legends alive at 78 years old. He's an American electric blues and soul blues singer, songwriter and guitarist.

Following is Eastside Detroit native Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones. Now hailing from Florida’s Gulf Coast, he's garnered widespread attention for his deft guitar work and memorable songwriting.
American vocalist, songwriter and Chicago blues musician Liz Mandeville will finish out the day. She's known for her versatile voice, high-voltage performances, insightful songs and traditional blues guitar playing. She has written and produced hundreds of original songs, has received critical acclaim and has toured internationally. She also owns the record label Blue Kitty Music.

“This is the eleventh year of the festival and we’re beyond excited to bring such a fantastic blues lineup to Venice," Justin Pachota, Co-Owner and President of Venice Pier Group, said. "Everyone, no matter your age or music preference, will enjoy the show."

Pachota, along with Co-Owner and Vice President of Venice Pier Group Mike Pachota, host the event each year in tribute to Snook Haven’s rich history of music and live entertainment.

We look forward to rockin' along the Myakka River! We can't wait to celebrate our original, iconic and historic Old Florida Snook Haven with you. Don't miss out on this last chance experience!
