Raise your glass and tear up the dancefloor to celebrate the end of Prohibition.
VENICE, Fla. – November 19th, 2019 – Make your way down to Snook Haven, located at 5000 East Venice Avenue in Venice, Fla., on Saturday, December 7th, 2019, to celebrate the end of Prohibition in good ‘ole Florida, smack dab on the Myakka River.
The day-long event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The end of Prohibition, which occurred on December 5th, 1933, was marked by the ratification of the 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution, making the manufacture, transportation and sale of alcoholic beverages legal once more. Guests will enjoy $1 off all beers whose breweries survived Prohibition, which include Budweiser (Budweiser bottles and Bud Light bottles or draft), Yuengling (draft) and Coors (Coors Light bottles).
Snook Haven will also feature its handmade, fruity and refreshing white wine Sangrias and “Beer Cocktails,” which will include Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and Stella Cidre Hard Cider, both of which are on draft.
Boot stompin’ and booty shakin’ live entertainment will be provided by The Masons from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Swinging Bridges from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
As the rise of small, quick and easy finger foods began at speakeasies during Prohibition, Snook Haven’s staff will be roaming the crowd with three unique “small bite” appetizers to satisfy guests’ hunger. Free beer samples will be offered at designated times to quench guests’ thirst.
There is no cover charge to attend this event.
