Snook Haven's CRAFT beer list boasts over 30 beers, many of which are brewed in local Florida breweries.
Craft beer fanatics, have you ever been to Snook Haven? If not, you've been missing out on one of the best beer meccas in Venice, FL.
You won't find a better atmosphere for craft beer consumption. At the end of a half mile-long canopied dirt road, you'll find Snook Haven - a true testament to good 'ole Florida. The BBQ restaurant and former fish camp is located on the peaceful banks of the Myakka River underneath majestically picturesque Spanish oak trees. Find a table on its back deck to kick back and relax with an ice-cold craft brew and a plate piled high with delicious BBQ, smoked right there on site. Be on the lookout for some incredible wildlife - particularly gators. Guests have experienced hawk, manatee and armadillo sightings, among many others.
More in the mood for a "wilder" time? Another Snook Haven claim to fame is its fantastic lineup of live entertainment, which plays up to six days per week during its busy season from October through May. Grab a seat at the wooden picnic tables in front of its main stage and raise your glass of craft beer to local bands like Bandana, Gator Creek, Divebombers and the oh-so-much-fun Gulf Coast Banjo Society. You can access the live entertainment calendar online at www.snookhaven.com/calendar to see Snook Haven's full schedule.

"We want to give our guests a reason to drive down that dirt road," Snook Haven General Manager Jenny Makowski said.
Snook Haven's craft beer selection is a great opportunity for visitors to step outside their beer-centric comfort zone and try something new. There are options for even the most die-hard Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and Yuengling drinkers. Snook Haven's diverse, yet well-rounded, beer list can provide you with a perfect introduction to the world of craft beer, or just broaden your horizons beyond your typical beer choice, Makowski said.
Snook Haven's current selection includes craft brews from JDubs Brewing Company (Sarasota, FL), Fort Myers Brewing Company (Fort Myers, FL), Motorworks Brewing (Bradenton, FL) and Cigar City Brewing Company (Tampa, FL).
Trying out a new craft brew is an excellent way to discover these known and well-loved local breweries - especially if you haven't had the chance to visit one yet.
"For a growing company like us, the exposure [at Snook Haven] is fantastic," Fort Myers Brewing Company Sales Representative Sarah MacLennan said.
At Snook Haven, tourists and locals alike can experience what Florida craft breweries have to offer while sitting down for a full-fledged meal.
